A pencil pierces an index card that has an eyeball drawn on it. The pencil also passes right through a transparent piece of plastic. Afterward, the eyeball has a hole in it, but the plastic pane is unharmed!
Students can examine everything before and after the demonstration. Just tell them to be careful not to break the plastic frame!
